Alchemy of Light

Image,
Light, shimmer, and fade.

It twinkles
and trembles.

I run to catch,
to glimpse,

it eludes and scintillates.
I gaze,
forlorn
as it vanishes, nulls.
Only to discover
it now dances
behind my eyes.
