Artists Biography

Suzanne A. Adams

Born and raised in Cleveland, Suzanne Adams received her training in photography from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 1994. She received the Nesendy and Schwartz award for excellence in photography, and was honored with an award from the 16th Annual Women's National Invitational Exhibit in Arkansas in 1998. She has participated in many national exhibitions, such as The Buddha Project with Cleveland State University, Forty Takes One at the Youngstown Museum of Art, and recently in the NEO Show at the Cleveland Museum of Art. She  has also participated in local projects, such as Retrovirus: AIDS revisited at Zygote Press, and Reckoning at Lucy's Eyes in Euclid, Ohio. Her work is shown often in galleries in New Mexico and Arizona. A published poet, Suzanne received the Silver Chalice award from the International Library of Poetry in 2004. Her artwork has recently been added to the Cleveland Art Association's Collection and was included in an auction sponsored by the Human Fund to help raise money for local art funding. She recently completed  her Master's of Art at Cleveland State University and is currently involved in a variety of projects.
